This is an answer to a wonderful prompt from #HammeredPoetry, escape voyages, that required: a) six mini-poems b) max 6 lines each c) each different in style/tone/etc d) each an imaginative escape e) except for one true one f) each able to stand alone and g) but able to stand together better.

The first one is true. The Aristophanes reference is to his play, The Birds, where this lovely dialogue is:

INFORMER: My friend, I am asking you for wings, not words.
PISTHETAERUS: That is what I am doing, by talking to you like this. It's my words that give you wings.
INFORMER: And how can you give a man wings with your words?
PISTHETAERUS: Words can give everybody wings.
